About the Roxie Theater:

The Roxie Theater, a San Francisco landmark in the Mission District, brings people together to meet and connect through distinctive cinematic experiences.

Guided by the passionate belief that engaging with a movie doesn’t end with the credits, the Roxie Theater invites filmmakers, curators, entertainers and educators to interact with audiences. They provide inspiration and opportunity for the next generation, and serve as a forum for the independent film community reflecting the spirit of the diverse Bay Area population.

The Roxie Theater is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.

About the Series:

Since 2014, the Roxie Theater Poster series has enlisted some of the world’s most compelling contemporary artists and illustrators.

These dynamic compositions revitalize the lost art of film poster design, presenting classic and modern films in an all new light.

The screen printed format of these hand made posters provides a stark contrast to the mass produced one-sheets commonly seen today and celebrate our love for analog media - both on the screen and off.
